Second Language Writing in the Pacific Rim

Since its inauguration in 1998, the Symposium on Second Language Writing has been held biennially at Purdue University in the heartland of the United States. For the first time in September 2007, the Symposium will meet outside the United States to provide an international forum for the discussion of various issues of interest to second language writing teachers and researchers from around the world. The first Symposium outside the United States will be held at Nagoya Gakuin University's brand new Shirotori campus.
The 2007 Symposium will feature plenary speakers who are internationally recognized experts in second language writing from around the Pacific Rim. Concurrent sessions will address a wide range of issues in the field of second language writing in various institutional and geographic contexts.
